Créé en 2010, le Téléski Nautique du Gers (ou TNG) est rapidement devenu un spot incontournable pour les adeptes du wakeboard. Repris en 2016 par Jérôme Lutsen (ex membre des Kangourous de Pessac), l’activité continue son développement au grand galop. Explications.
Pour tous les goûts
Bien que le wakeboard soit la grande tendance, le TNG propose également du kneeboard (même principe qui le wake mais sur une planche où l’on se tient à genoux) et des initiations en ski nautique. Les plus petits ne sont pas en reste avec une école de wakeboard pour enfants à partir de 8 ans. Limité à 10 élèves par session et encadré par 3 personnes dont un BPJEPS, chaque session permet au plus jeunes de comprendre et progresser dans ce sport hautement addictif. Actuellement ouverte, cette école se déroule le dimanche matin en basse saison contre le mercredi matin en juillet-août.
Sportivement vôtre
Le TNG c’est aussi une grosse partie sportive avec l’accueil du championnat de France de wakeboard la saison dernière et du championnat de ligue Midi-Pyrénées. En même temps, le spot propose pas moins de 13 modules (avec 3 nouveaux), essentiels pour que les riders puissent exprimer leur talent. La configuration du parcours à d’ailleurs été modifiée cette année. C’est notamment grâce aux 70 adhérents de l’association Wake And Gers que ce téléski est très actif dans l’organisation d’événements. Les plus grands noms du milieu du ride ne s’y trompent pas. Ainsi Nick Davies (le Zidane du wakeboard) a promis de passer cet été, si vous voulez en prendre plein les yeux…
Au calme
Si chevaucher les modules sur une planche ne vous tente pas, le restaurant du TNG a de solides arguments pour vous inciter à venir. Distillant une cuisine simple et abordable, La Terrasse s’offre les services d’un chef cuisinier de qualité cette année. On a testé et c’est du sérieux. Le lieu propose également une boutique où vous pourrez trouver de quoi vous équiper de A à Z mais également de quoi sauver votre session en cas de panne du genre lacet cassé ou oubli de matériel…
Pour résumer, le Téléski Nautique du Gers est un lieu qui accueille tout le monde, des novices aux plus expérimentés. Au delà de l’aspect sportif, il crée un lieu d’activité et de vie sur la commune de l’Isle-Jourdain, confirmant ainsi le dynamisme de cette zone. Les pouvoirs publics ont d’ailleurs bien saisi l’importance du TNG et n’hésitent pas à en aménager les structures et accès.
