Qui n’a jamais eu la hantise de revenir de vacances pour découvrir sa maison vandalisée ?  Toutes les solutions sont alors imaginées pour éviter ce désarroi : laisser une lumière, une radio ou une télé allumée (pensez à l’écologie ce n’est définitivement pas une bonne idée), faire venir un proche pour qu’il y ait une présence régulière… Solution qui n’entérine cependant pas le sentiment de stress qui vous envahi pendant vos congés, à l’idée de vous être fait cambriolé !

Pour éviter ce problème de sécurité, le gouvernement a mis en place l’Opération Tranquillité Vacances à laquelle vous devez vous inscrire chaque année. Ce système permet a n’importe quel citoyen de demander à la police ou la gendarmerie de surveiller son domicile durant ses vacances. Des patrouilles de surveillance sont alors organisées de jour comme de nuit, en semaine et le week-end, par les forces de l’ordre. Vous serez alors prévenu en cas d’anomalie (cambriolages, effractions, tentatives d’effractions…)

Pour bénéficier de ce service, vous devrez remplir le formulaire disponible via ce lien service-public.fr, puis vous rendre au commissariat ou à la brigade de gendarmerie la plus proche pour le déposer (au moins 2 jours avant votre départ).
À savoir : La surveillance du domicile ne commencera que cinq jours après le dépôt de la demande.
En cas de retour anticipé, les habitants doivent le signaler à la police ou à la gendarmerie sans attendre.

Malgré tout, n’hésitez pas à prévenir vos voisins de votre départ pour qu’ils passent relever le courrier, ouvrir/fermer les volets afin de montrer de l’activité et dissuader toute personne mal intentionnée. De même, ne communiquez pas les dates de vos vacances sur les réseaux sociaux afin d’éviter que des inconnus puissent accéder à l’information.
