L’ouverture de l’ensemble de la zone commerciale du Perget prévoyait dès 2004 l’aménagement  de l’échangeur n°6 de la RN 124. La nécessité d’un shunt sur l’entrée était dès le départ identifiée pour fluidifier le trafic. Sans cette adaptation, de nombreuses remontées de files d’attentes se forment directement sur la voie rapide à toute heure de la journée. Des aménagements qui assureront donc davantage de sécurisation et offriront un plus grand confort aux automobilistes. Les travaux consistent à la création d’une nouvelle voie permettant de contourner le giratoire Terre, et à l’allongement de la sortie existante.

Très attendus par les usagers, ces derniers prendront fin en mai 2019, et leur coût s’élève à trois millions d’euros. Des aménagements qui permettraient ainsi de délester la sortie du Perget de 45% de véhicules. Une petite frayeur toute fois lors du Conseil Municipal de septembre dernier. En effet, des sondages archéologiques, réalisés au printemps 2018 sous l’égide de la Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles (DRAC), avaient mis au jour une quinzaine de silex datant du paléolithique. Toulouse Métropole a engagé des études complémentaires qui ont permis d’aboutir à une solution technique (rehaussement du niveau altimétrique de la future voie d’accès), pour que les travaux soient engagés sans impacter ces vestiges en sous-sol et que leur préservation soit durablement garantie. Des travaux qui ont donc pu démarrer ce mois d’octobre 2018.
